Zao Wou-Ki explores the possibilities of printmaking, which he discovered in Paris with Desjobert. Still attached to figuration, he composes a sober, pared-down seascape with two bathers facing us. The fine, fragile figures in the background echo the Shang dynasty bronzes that marked the artist's imagination.
