The digital art movement’s leading artist, Julian Opie created View from My Hotel Room in 2008 as a continuous computer animation on a 14” screen contained in a custom-made, silver powder-coated surround case. Over the course of 3 minutes and 39 seconds, the screen displays a computer animation of a single view outside the artist’s hotel room window that spans 24 hours. A label at the back of the case contains the artist’s signature as well as the edition number. This dynamic and highly collectible artwork measures 10 4/5 x 13 9/10 x 1 4/5 in. (27.5 x 35.2 x 4.5 cm), and is from the edition of 300 as issued.
