Dated and signed in pencil by the artist and with his annotation "Handdruck" (handprinting).
There was never an edition. All existing color woodcuts by Hans Neumann jr. were printed by hand and apparently on demand, sometimes in different color combinations.
Neumann exhibited 1904 together with Kandinsky both in Munich and Dresden and 1906 together with the young "Brücke"-artists in Hamburg. It seems to be due to Neumanns and Kandiskys influence that Ernst Ludwig Kirchner started creating color woodcuts himself.
