Woodcut printed from the original block on title page of the Greman art journal "Der Sturm" 4-198/199, February 1914 (8 p. - complete issue), center fold as originally deliverd, otherwise in very good condition.
Filla was strongly influenced by Picasso and Braque. Both he met repeatedly in Paris from 1911. The woodcut on the title page of this Sturm issue is a perfect example of the impact those meetings had not only on his style but also on other Czech Modernists.
