Texte d'André Martel calligraphié et illustré par Jean Dubuffet avec :

L'ensemble a été imprimé sur les presses de l'artiste par Serge Lozingot, à Paris, pendant l'hiver 1962-1963.
- Tirage : 116 exemplaires sur papier d'Auvergne : 110 exemplaires signés par l'auteur et l'artiste numérotés de 1 à 110 + 6 exemplaires hors commerce numérotés de l à VI, numérotés au crayon et signés par Martel et Dubuffet (2 exemplaires d'essai ont été tirés).
Notre exemplaire (le n°7) est préservé dans une reliure de buffle noir frotté et partiellement déverni, dos lisse avec titre poussé en noir, doublure et gardes de daim gris, couverture et dos, chemise, étui (C. et J.P. Miguet).
Très bel exemplaire dans une reliure raffinée de C. et J.P. Miguet en accord total avec l'esprit de l'ouvrage (Webel 825-868, reproduit). Note : À côté de cette précieuse édition originale calligraphiée, parut aussi une édition en phototypie en noir, de format réduit.

One book large 4to (290 x 229 mm) ,48 pp. Preserved in a binding in rubbed and partially devarnished black buffalo, smooth spine with black title, grey suede lining and endpapers, cover and spine, folder, slipcase (C. and J.P. Miguet).
First edition illustrated with 16 ORIGINAL FULL-PAGES COLOR LITHOGRAPHS by Dubuffet, of which one was for the slipcase (in 5 colors) and one for the front cover (in 7 colors). As was the case with most of his books, the text is lithographed from his handwritten manuscript.
This is one of the 110 copies signed with pencil by Martel and Dubuffet at the justification page (n°7).
An important example of Dubuffet's considerable skill as a bookmaker. Dubuffet was the founder of Art Brut movement of the forties, and his lithographs for Le Mirivis des Naturgies are still very much in that style.
A very fine copy in an elegant binding by C. and J.P. Miguet, in complete harmony with the spirit of the work (Webel 825-868, reproduced).
Preserved in mint condition.
Note: Alongside this precious original calligraphed edition, a reduced-format black and white phototype edition also appeared.
