LITHOGRAPHIE ORIGINALE AVEC LA SIGNATURE DANS LA PIERRE EN BAS À DROITE DE LA COMPOSITION (490 x 600 mm).
Très belle épreuve tirée en noir sur vergé filigrané « mbm ». Toutes marges non ébarbées.
Tirage à 100 épreuves dans cette couleur.
Imprimeur: Auguste Clot (1858-1936).
Note d'état: Légère ondulation du feuillet (l’épreuve ayant été roulée). Un point de rouille très clair au-dessus du sujet dans la marge supérieure, minuscules et rares accrocs aux bords du feuillet.

Cette lithographie se décline en "1ère" et "2ème planche" , celle-ci avec le sourire adouci, de nombreux détails (chapeaux, chevelure, etc.) retravaillés et enrichis. C'est évidemment la plus réussie. La planche a été tirée en bleu-vert, rouge, sépia, noir et état couleurs.
Les modèles pour cette lithographie sont Julie Manet, la fille de Berthe Morisot née en 1878, et sa jeune cousine Paulette Gabillard.

Lithograph printed in black on Arches Ingres laid paper with the "mbm" watermark from the total edition of 100 (1897/98).
Published by Ambroise Vollard, Paris, with full margins, in excellent condition, unframed.
This lithograph comes in "1st" and "2nd plate", this one with the softened smile, many details (hats, hair, etc.) reworked and enriched. It is obviously the most successful between the two. The plate was printed in blue-green, red, sepia, black and state colors.
The models for this lithograph are Julie Manet, Berthe Morisot's daughter born in 1878, and her young cousin Paulette Gabillard.
