Medium: Original mixed media painting on thick wove paper , signed by the artist in black ink inside the image
Note: It is hard to be sure what this interior scene represents. It does portray columns with decorated tops and Norman style arches. Piper was famous for his architectural works of churches and their interiors and we suspect this is one of these. Where it is we cannot say.
Provenance: English collection transported to and sold in Spain.
Size: 29 x 20.5 cms (Image size), 29 x 37 cms Paper size)
Condition: There is ink stating on the edges of the margins (top left) not affecting the image. At each corner is a minute pin hole made to suspend the work.
