EXEMPLAIRE AVEC SUITE EN COULEURS HORS-TEXTE COMPLÈTE (21), UNE DÉCOMPOSITION D'UNE PLANCHE DOUBLE ET UNE SOIE SIGNÉE DANS LA PLANCHE PAR L'ARTISTE (Autoportrait).

THIS ONE: WITH COMPLETE OUT-OF-TEXT COLOR SUITE (21 pl.), A DECOMPOSITION OF A DOUBLE PLATE AND A SILK SIGNED IN THE PLATE BY THE ARTIST (Self-portrait).

EDITION: 262 ex. This one of 40 with suite and supplements, signed by Foujita.
Complete and in perfect condition.

Texts by Albert Fournier prefaced by Maurice Genevoix and followed by a study by Guy Dornand entitled “Foujita, Parisien de Tokyo”.
These 20 small paintings testify to Foujita's attachment to these figures of small street actors harassed by their profession. Foujita very often used these small figures summarized in background figures in the self-portrait of the frontispiece.
This is one of the "cult" works illustrated by Tsuguharu Foujita (1886-1968) with "La Rivière Enchantée" (the Enchanted River).
