Momotaro (Peach Boy) - The brave child born from a peach who defeats demons with courage and loyalty.

Momotaro is Japan’s quintessential folk hero — a child miraculously born from a giant peach, raised by humble farmers, and destined to defeat the oni (demons) on a distant island. In Dalí’s version, the narrative becomes a surreal allegory of rebirth and moral strength. The floating organic forms echo the peach’s rounded vitality, while linear motion and symbolic color dramatize the hero’s divine origin. Through delicate drypoint lines and hand-stenciled color, Dalí transforms a tale of valor into a meditation on creation and purity.
