A Deluxe edition of this celebrated illustrated portfolio, comprising a book with 16 original etchings by Salvador Dalí, accompanied by an additional suite of 10 etchings in sanguine and a separate portfolio containing a suite of 15 etchings, all printed on Arches Tint paper.
This example is signed in pencil by the artist and numbered 207/265 on the justification page. The work was published by Editorial Subirana, Barcelona, in 1975, with the complete text of Pedro Calderón de la Barca’s masterpiece La Vida es Sueño.
The etchings, developed by Dalí between 1962 and 1975, represent one of his most ambitious graphic projects, offering a profound and surreal interpretation of themes such as illusion, destiny, and the nature of reality.
The set is preserved complete and loose as issued, housed in the original burlap-covered slipcase, as intended by the publisher.
